This week's update includes a new Italian theme. Late on September 5/early September 6, the game was also updated with doubled coin prices on many items and recipes. Appliances, decorations, expansions and recipes now cost twice as much to purchase with coins, but the profit per plate was not increased. The 1,000,000 coin expansion, for example, has been increased to 2,000,000 coins and will effectively take four times longer to achieve, as the profit for each recipe was effectively halved as well.
At this time, TeamLava's PonyRoar said in a forum post that they "are unable to revert prices back to their original amounts at this time." It is not clear when or if they will be reverted. This thread has been locked, but other discussions are taking place on the game forums.

A new version of the game has been released for Android. This update has added goals for Android and the ability to see gifted parts under the My Gifts menu. It has also changed the number of gems needed to complete a recipe from five for any recipe to half the original cooking time, rounded up. For example, a 6 hour recipe will cost 3 gems to complete, while a 7 hour recipe would cost 4 gems to complete.
